The guys in the UNC locker room admitted this season is a bit different than last year because last year they were driven by that loss to Villanova in the title game the year before.

But at the same time they say the goal shouldn’t change regardless of what the motivation is.
Other NC schools are moving up too.

Duke advanced past the opening round with a 89-67 win over Iona as Marvin Bagley III recorded 22 points to go with seven rebounds.

Duke gets Rhode Island in the second round. They’ve never lost to the university in four meetings.
Thursday was a different story for the Davidson Wildcats, however. Despite 21 points, including six second-half three-pointers from Jon Axel Gudmundsson, Davidson fell to fifth-seeded Kentucky, 78-73, in the first round of the 2018 NCAA tournament at Taco Bell Arena.
