Timmons’ daughter, Laura Dorn, posted the video on Facebook for her family members to see.
“Even at 5 am this morning with the few people that were available….they still honored him on his way out,” Dorn said in the the Facebook post.
Russell Evatt, the nursing home director told FOX Carolina they call it the farewell ceremony and they are done for every veteran who passes away.
“They were good enough to arrive through the front door, so we want them to leave through the front door,” Evatt said.
