VIDEO: High school homecoming king passes crown to friend with cerebral palsy

(FOX 11) — (WFAA/FOX 11) – Max Akin, a senior high school quarterback from Texas is winning hearts all over the internet for his act of kindness during halftime of their homecoming game.

His friend K.L. Norwood was also nominated for the title, and Akin could see how much his good friend wanted the honor.

So, Akin had other plans up his sleeve.

During halftime when it was announced Akin had won homecoming king he took the crown and  presented it to his friend, Norwood, who has cerebral palsy.

Akin told WFAA, ‘I think it should’ve gone to the person who positively uplifts the school and everybody around him, and that person is K.L., for sure.’

Fossil Ridge went on to win the game, 40-12.
