Two Rowan County men arrested for heroin, meth trafficking

ROWAN COUNTY, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — Two local men have been arrested on multiple charges following a drug investigation involving the distribution of heroin and methamphetamine, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office. 

Joseph Donald Poole and Ryan Anthony Wright were both arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 6 following the investigation. 

The sheriff’s office said they executed a search warrant at the home of Poole in Salisbury and seized approximately 11.9 grams of heroin, 10.6 grams of methamphetamine, 3 grams of marijuana, United States currency, and drug paraphernalia. 

Poole is charged with trafficking heroin by possession, possess with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine, possess methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for keeping and selling controlled substances, possess marijuana, possess drug paraphernalia, and conspiracy to sell heroin. In a related matter, deputies said Wright is charged with possess with intent to sell/delivery heroin, possess heroin, and maintaining a vehicle for keeping and selling controlled substances. 

The charges against Wright and the conspiracy charge against Poole were related to a January 2018 sale of heroin, according to the sheriff’s office. 

Poole’s bond was set at $150,000, while Wright’s bond was $10,000.
