Two men charged after robbing several Charlotte pharmacies

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has arrested two men for their involvement in a series of armed robberies of pharmacies around the Charlotte area. 

Police have charged 22-year-old Jamir Montegut and 34-year-old Javonne Carter for robbing six pharmacies, A2Z Health Mart, Star Bright, Family Care, Kaitlyn’s Pharmacy and CVS. 

Each of the armed robberies occurred at a different time between early November and early December. 

Both were transported to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office where they were charged with six counts of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon, six counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of firearm by felon.
