CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they have charged two students for making threats involving Hawthorne Academy.
According to police, around 9 a.m. the School Resource Officer received information that two students had communicated a bomb threats while at the school. The SRO and CMS staff located both students who were interviewed and searched. No weapons or devices were located during the search.
Authorities say the suspects are two boys, ages 15 and 14. Both are charged with one count of communicating threats and released to their parents.
The students have not been named.
