Teen charged in Watauga County for parents’ murder


Officials in Watauga County say they have charged a 17-year-old in the murders of his parents.

Deputies arrested Tristan Noah Borlase in connection to the deaths of his parents, Jeffrey David Borlase, 43, and Tanya Mae Borlase, 44.

According to the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office, the couple were found dead at 1174 Orchard Road in Deep Gap.

It’s unclear how the couple died,  but deputies said the incident was domestic in nature.

Borlase, the couple’s biological son, was arrested in Johnson County, Tennessee and charged with two counts of murder.
