Suspects in Mooresville vehicle break-ins possibly linked to other crimes, police say

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is investigating multiple vehicle break-ins that happened on Saturday, September 3, in the Mooresville area.

The suspects are targeting neighborhoods where they can find unlocked vehicles, according to police.

In some of the cases the suspects located and used credit and or debit cards at a location in Charlotte.

These cases have been linked to other cases that happened in Mint Hill, NC. Citizens are cautionsed against approaching the suspects.

In one Mint Hill incident a victim reported hearing a shot fired when he approached the suspects. It is unclear if the suspect shot at the victim or not, but a suspect can been seen in a video from one of the Mooresville cases holding what appears to be a gun, according to police.

Anyone who believes someone is breaking into their vehicle are ask to call 911 immediately. If anyone recognizes the suspects or suspect vehicle they are ask to call the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office at (704) 878-3180 or Crime Stoppers at (704) 662-1330.
