Suspected child predator strikes at local middle school

HARRISBURG, NC (FOX 46) — Authorities in Cabarrus County are looking for a suspected child predator after they say he attempted to lure a high school student into his car Saturday at a local  middle school.

The incident happened about 10 a.m. Friday at Hickory Ridge Middle School in Harrisburg, NC.

According to Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office, a heavier set white man in his late 40’s to mid 50’s, tried to lure the student into his car, a white 4-door 2011 Hyundai Genesis.

The man is described as being heavier set, with white hair, but balding at the top. Deputies say the man spoke with an accent.

The suspect vehicle had seven spoke wheels, sun roof and chrome rocker panels on the bottom of the doors.
