Suspect wanted in Subway armed robbery in east Charlotte


CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a local Subway at gunpoint Sunday morning. 

The armed robbery happened at 9:50 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 19 at the Subway located at 7008 E. WT Harris Boulevard. Police said the suspect brandished a firearm and demanded money from the register. 

During the robbery the suspect grabbed the employee, but she was not injured, police said. The suspect fled the business in an unknown direction. 

The suspect is described as a black male, 6’0″ tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a striped shirt, dark colored hoodie and light pants.
