Suspect charged after man found shot to death on road in east Charlotte

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have charged a man with murder of Christian Alfredo Soto Mojica that happened on Tuesday night.

The call for service came in around 11:03 p.m. Officers responded to a welfare check at the 6600 block of the Plaza.

Officers said when they arrived they found Mojica lying on the side of the road suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on scene by Medic.

Montdrekus Lamont Moore has been charged with first-degree murder of Mojica, according to police. Police said Moore was arrested early Wednesday morning.

Detectives discovered Moore and Mojica knew one another and an argument led to the shooting.
