Stanley man arrested on trafficking charges

LINCOLN COUNTY, NC (FOX 46) — Lincoln County sheriffs have arrested 32-year-old Mario Javon Johnson of Stanley for trafficking opiates and possessing cocaine and marijuana. 

His arrest comes after narcotics officials spent three months investigating drug activity at a home near the 6900 block of Old Plank Road in Stanley.

Investigators issued a search warrant for the residence where they believed several types of drugs were being sold. Cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a trafficking amount of opioid-based pills were seized on Thursday. 

Johnson was charged with one felony count each of trafficking opiates by possession, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule IV controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance. He was also charged with one misdemeanor count each of simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Johnson received a $75,000 secured bond.
