SC animal rescue asks for public’s help in severe animal abuse case

A South Carolina animal rescue is asking the public for help after two small puppies were found severely neglected – and “dumped as if they were trash.”

Second Chance of Orangeburg Animal Rescue Coalition rushed Eli and Ella to the Emergency Vet in Columbia on Saturday, June 4, where they were treated and released.

Tragically, Eli died at 2:50 p.m. Sunday, June 5 after members said she was rushed back to the ER because she was having difficulty breathing and coughing up blood.

Second Chance of Orangeburg Animal Rescue Coalition posted photos of the two puppies to their Facebook page, asking if folks in the area knew anything about this particular case.

They said, “we don’t want to get even, we want justice.”

Animal neglect and abuse is a federal crime in the State of South Carolina.
