Police: Suspect on the loose after robbing bank in Huntersville

The Huntersville Police Department has released new surveillance photos of a person in connection to a robbery at a local bank Tuesday. 

The robbery happened at 4:49 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10 at the First Citizens Bank at the Northcross Shopping Center along Statesville Road.

The suspect reportedly handed the teller a note demanding cash and fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. 

Officers said the suspect is described as a white male, slender build, 5’9″ to 5’10” tall, last seen wearing a tan/brown colored Carhart type jacket, sunglasses and a black and white baseball cap.
