Police search for suspect in Hickory armed robbery

The Hickory Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man in connection to an armed robbery at a local convenience store.

The robbery occurred around 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29 at the Jack B Quick located at 1120 Lenoir Road NW in Hickory. 

The clerk reported that the suspect came into the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took money from the store and fled the scene. 

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, approximately 5’ 5” – 5’ 8” tall, short curly black hair and around 17-24 years of age. The suspect was last seen wearing a black flat-brim hat, red bandanna across his face, black zip up jacket (possibly weather proof), black shoes and black pants.
