Police: Missing 14-year-old with cognitive issues found safe


CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — UPDATE: 2/20/18 – Braylon Bowen, 14, has been located safely and is being reunited with his family, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. 


The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 14-year-old who has cognitive issues. 

Family reported Braylon Bowen missing at 8:34 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20 in the 8300 block of Tifton Road.  

Family said Bowen walked away from his home around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20. Bowen has been diagnosed with cognitive issues and his family is extremely concerned about him.

Bowen may be unresponsive when approached and he is known to stay away from strangers. He does not handle yelling well.

Anyone who sees or has information regarding Bowen is asked to call 911 immediately. Folks may also call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
