Police concerened for missing woman’s safety

CHARLOTTE , NC — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Person Unit is conducting an investigation into the disappearance of Ayanna Hatcher. 

Hatcher was first reported missing on Thursday, September 15, 2016.

The reporting person stated Miss Hatcher was last seen on foot in the area of Faulconbridge Road. At that time, Miss Hatcher was last seen wearing an orange/red colored scarf wrapped around her hair in a bun, black tank top, beige leggings with black tribal print, and carrying a pink colored backpack.  

On September 24, 2016, Miss Hatcher was observed walking alone near East 7th Street at N. McDowell Street wearing red denim shorts and a multicolored shirt. Miss. Hatcher has been diagnosed with a cognitive issue and there is some concern for her safety and wellbeing.
