Operation Christmas Child brings holiday spirit to kids across the world

CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — It’s never too early to make someone smile this holiday season. FOX 46 Charlotte and the community is working to get results for children around the world, as volunteers work to stuff shoe boxes full of goodies for Operation Christmas Child.

The international organization Samaritan’s Purse hosts the annual charity drive to collect boxes filled with gifts for children.

National Collection Week for 2017 has passed, but shoebox gifts can still be delivered to eight processing centers around the country in Atlanta; Baltimore/Washington; Boone, North Carolina; Charlotte; Dallas/Ft. Worth; Denver; Minneapolis; and Southern California through December 16.

Folks can also build a shoebox online!

Charlotte’s distribution center for Operation Christmas Child is 1700 Forest Point Blvd. If you would like to volunteer or donate, CLICK HERE!
