IREDELL COUNTY, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — One of Iredell County’s most wanted sex offenders was taken into custody after failing to notify authorities of an address change.
Kyle Wayne Stutts, 27, is charged with failure to notify address change.
Deputies said on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 a warrant was obtained on registered sex offender, Stutts, for failure to notify address change with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. Stutts was placed in the Most Wanted List and entered nationally as a wanted person.
Stutts was convicted in 2011 for indecent liberties with a minor and placed on the Sex Offender Registry. His criminal history includes possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to notify change of address, felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, and two counts of failure to register as a sex offender, misdemeanor breaking and entering, larceny, resist public officer, and injury to personal property.
This week, deputies said they received a tip on a possible location for Stutts. He was subsequently located on Brookefield Drive in Statesville,
Stutts has been placed under a $20,000 secured bond.
