Officer struck by vehicle in uptown

An officer who works for G4S security at the transit center late Saturday evening on E. Trade St. was injured after being struck by a vehicle, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. 

The security officer was taken to CMC by Medic with non-life threatening injuries. He is expected to be ok, according to police. 

A person was arrested for the hit & run, but police have not released his name yet. Stay with Fox 46 for updates on this story.
