Missing 78-year-old Winston-Salem woman found safe

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) — UPDATE 4/11 At the request of the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office, the N.C. Center for Missing Persons has canceled the Silver Alert for Peggy Ann Finney. 


The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered woman. 

Residents are asked to be on the lookout for Peggy Ann Finney, 78, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment. 

Finney is described as a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 200 pounds, with gray hair and green eyes. 

Police said Finney was last seen at Family Behavioral Health in Winston-Salem. She could also be traveling in a gray Ford Crown Victoria with plate number FHK – 5266. 

Anyone with information is asked to call the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office at 336-838-9111.
