Police say they have made an arrest after a man was found dead with a gunshot wound inside a home in Charlotte’s Sedgefield neighborhood Tuesday.
Jaquan Dosdos, 23, has been charged in the death of David Eadie, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
Detectives said at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, they were called to the 2700 block of Oakcrest Place for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Upon arrival, police found Eadie, 58, inside a home with an apparent gunshot wound. Eadie was pronounced dead on scene by Medic, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
Early information indicates that this shooting is drug related, police said. Detectives are working to determine whether there were any witnesses to this murder.

Police said they located a vehicle on Freedom Drive on Wednesday that was possibly connected to the murder. When officers attempted to pull the car over, the person, later identified as Dosdos, refused to stop which led to a chase that began on Bradford Drive near Freedom Drive.
The vehicle crashed near Wilkinson and John Crosland. Dosdos was taken into custody and charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was taken to Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office where he is currently in custody.
