Man dies after crashing into tree, fence in northwest Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — A man is dead after crashing into a tree and a fence late Wednesday night in northwest Charlotte, police said. 

The crash happened at 11:51 p.m. Wednesday, May 16 near 3009 Rozzelles Ferry Road. 

Upon arrival, officers found a 2007 Chevrolet Colorado pick-up truck with an unresponsive man in the driver’s seat. The man, identified as David Allen Jackson, 65, was pronounced dead on scene. 

Police said speed and alcohol impairment do not appear to be contributing factors. They believe the driver may have suffered a medical incident.
