Man accused of sexually assaulting teen at Golden Corral

ROCK HILL, SC (FOX 46) — A man is accused of grabbing more than just food at a buffet in Rock Hill.

The incident happened Sunday afternoon. The victim was eating at the Golden Corral with her family when someone she didn’t know starting touching her.

The 18-year-old told police the man started grabbing her rear with both hands while waiting in line at the buffet restaurant.

“She felt somebody touch or grab her behind and she turned around thinking it was a friend or somebody just messing with her and turned around and there was a gentleman she hadn’t seen before,” Mark Bollinger with the Rock Hill Police Department said.

Rock Hill police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who they said fled the scene. Police are looking to charge him with second-degree assault. They said these types of cases don’t come around often.

“Most of the time they know the person. This time it was a total stranger in a very public place which is very rare,” Bollinger said.

JAX, LCC Golden Corral Franchiee released this statement to FOX 46 Charlotte:
