LINCOLNTON, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — An Iron Station man has been charged with several child abuse charges after the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said they received information regarding the sexual assault of a young girl.
The investigation began on Monday, April 16 after an 8-year-old girl was interviewed at the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center. During the interview, she disclosed being sexually assaulted by Peter Justin Desveaux, Jr., 26, of Iron Station, who also gave her money and asked her not to tell anyone. The incident occurred on Saturday, April 14.
On April 20, detectives interviewed Desveaux who admitted to committing the crimes. He is charged with one felony count each of crime against nature, statutory sex offense with a child, and indecent liberties with a child.
Desveaux was given a $150,000 secured bond and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center.
