Iredell County man held on $1.5M bond for raping at least two children


IREDELL COUNTY, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — A Mooresville man is being held on a $1.5 million bond after sexually assaulting at least two children, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. 

Robert Mark Moose, 54, is charged with 12 counts of felony indecent liberties with a child, 10 counts of felony statutory rape of a child, and two counts felony statutory sexual offense on a child by an adult. 

According to Iredell County deputies, a report was filed on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 in reference to a child being sexually assaulted by a family member. 

The child said she was sexually assaulted on multiple occasions between August 2017 and December 2017 by Moose.

During the investigation into these allegations, another victim was identified. The second victim reported she had been sexually assaulted by Moose on multiple occasions between Nov. 2001 and Feb. 2005. 

Moose is currently being held at the Iredell County Detention center on a $1.5 million secure bond.
