“How much money have you spent in Charlotte?” FOX 46’s Yolian Ortiz asked some out of town fans.

“We’re into the 4 digits for sure,” one visitor said.

“$600 so far, and it’s just beginning,” said another.

Demand for hotels have gone up about 20 percent, and parking lots are at max capacity, but if you don’t want to spend that much, there are other options out there.

“We’re staying at an Air B&B, so a local house about two miles from here which is really nice and it was not that expensive so we are on the budget right now,” one out-of-towner told FOX 46.

With the opening of the Blue Line extension, people from the University City area are now able to get into Uptown.

“15-minute ride, $4 for a round trip. I can’t complain!”

As the NCAA continues, the Blue Line, and Charlotte, is sure to see more traffic— and more money.
