CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — Charlotte hopes citizens will commemorate the city’s 249th birthday in a unique way on Tuesday, Nov. 7, which is also election day.

Charlotte is encouraging citizens to vote. Once you’ve voted they want you to tag @CLTgov on Nov. 7 in your “I Voted” sticker on Instagram for a chance to win a Queen Charlotte Sticker.

For our Charlotte creatives, they’re asking folks to accept their “Queen’s Portrait” challenge. Send the city an original, illustrated portrait of Queen Charlotte for a chance to win a Queen City Prize Pack full of swag from some of your favorite Charlotte-based businesses and organizations. A public vote will determine the best illustration. Be creative and tasteful**. That’s all they ask. Participants may submit a digital version or high resolution photo of their portrait art.

Submit your art HERE by Tuesday, Nov. 7. Voting will be open to the public from Friday, Nov. 10, to Friday, Nov. 17.

The winner of the Queen City Prize Pack on will be announced on Monday, Dec. 4.
