SALISBURY, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) — The government shutdown is putting a local crisis center in jeapordy.
Family Crisis Council in Rowan County offers services that, for some, could be the difference between life and death. But representative say they’ll have to cut back on services if the shutdown continues.
The center offers shelter for women and children, assistance for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, counseling, and more. Those services might be cut back if federal funds don’t come through soon.
