LINCOLN COUNTY, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — A Gastonia man has been charged in connection with several eastern Lincoln County home break-ins that happened in September.
The break-ins occurred at homes in the 8000 and 4000 block of Highway 73 and a residence on Beth Haven Church Road in Denver on Sept. 29, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
During the investigation, deputies learned that two iPads stolen from a home in the 8000 block of Highway 73 had been recovered by Gaston County Police in an investigation of Sidney Guy Owens, 39.
Deputies said the subsequent investigation led to the discovery that Owens, when he was arrested by Gaston County Police, had in his possession multiple items stolen in the break-ins in Lincoln County.
On Monday, October 23, detectives obtained warrants on Owens for three felony counts each of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods. He was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The warrants were served on Owens at the Gaston County Jail. He is under a $250,000 secured bond on the Gaston and Lincoln County charges.
