Frigid temperatures continue across the Carolinas

Despite the sunshine, cold arctic air invaded North Carolina this week. Temperatures stayed below freezing in some areas throughout the day on Thursday. 

Friday is off to a very cold start with wind chills in the teens. The sun will be out, but highs remain in the mid and upper 30s. 

The first part of the weekend will be slightly warmer with highs in the mid and upper 40s. Colder air pushes in for the new year with highs in the 30s and lows in the teens.
