CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — A family of three is now without a home after a fire broke out in the University City area early Thursday morning, according to Charlotte Fire officials.
The fire started Thursday morning, April 5 along Canterwood Drive in the Hidden Valley neighborhood. Fire officials said the family was able to escape the house as flames spread. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Red Cross is now assisting.
It took 27 firefighters about 17 minutes to put out the flames.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
