Delicious deals on National Sandwich Day

News

If you like a good (or maybe just discounted) sandwich, it is your lucky day.

National Sandwich Day usually lands on the birthday of John Mantagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich. According to PBS, some say he invented the beloved sandwich while he was playing cards.

This year, National Sandwich Day falls on November 3, which means there are all sorts of deals on where you can get your lunch.

Subway

This is a charitable option. For every sub and 30-ounce drink purchased, you get a free sub and Subway will donate a meal to Feeding America. You can monitor their website throughout National Sandwich Day to see how many meals have been donated so far.

Arby’s

Sign up for their email list, you can get a free “Roast Beef Classic” when you buy a drink.

Boston Market

Use a National Sandwich Day coupon and receive a market sandwich for $5.

McAlister’s Deli

You can stop in and get a McAlister’s Club sandwich for $4. It’s a favorite that is stacked 13 layers high with smoked turkey, Black Forest Ham, bacon, sharp cheddar, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, McAlister’s Honey Mustard and mayo on wheat bread. Whew. It’s only valid as a dine-in option, but you can order in the restaurant and take it to go. Just make sure to double check your local spot is participating.

If you can capture a winning photo or video of “your little sandwich fan” and what they would put on their perfect 13-layer sandwich, you can win free clubs for a year.

Firehouse Subs

The first 50 guests to order a “Hook & Ladder” sub will receive a free chips and medium drink with a medium or large sub purchase on your next visit, and a custom sub enamel pin.

Jersey Mike’s

It’s not worth celebrating just one day of sandwich deals here, instead Jersey Mike’s is celebrating the entire month. From Monday through Thursday during November, there are contests you can participate in through their social media platforms.
