Counselors available at Ardrey Kell HS following deadly shooting of 15-year-old girl

A triple shooting in south Charlotte lead to the death of two people Sunday including a 15-year-old girl, police said. The deadly shooting happened just miles away from Ardrey Kell High School where counselors will be on hand Monday for support to students. 

The shooting happened around 4 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 at a home near 11400 Glenn Abbey Way. A man, identified as Matthew Chaplin, 51, and a 15-year-old girl were pronounced dead at the scene. 

A third person is in the hospital being treated for gunshot wounds.

Police said they are not looking for any suspects at the moment but were also unclear whether or not this was a domestic dispute. No other information was immediately available.
