Concord man wanted for killing wife now in custody

1/6/2018 UPDATE:  According to Concord Police, Patrick O’ Sullivan has been located & taken into custody. More details will be released later today, according to authorities. 


The Concord Police Department is actively searching for a man who they believe shot and killed his wife Thursday night at their home. 

Patrick William O’Sullivan has an outstanding warrant for first-degree murder. 

Police said at 7:36 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4 they received a 911 call from 104 Todd Drive NE in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located Rebekah Madelynn Hart-O’Sullivan dead inside the home. 

The investigation revealed Mrs. O’Sullivan was involved in a ‘domestic dispute’ with her husband. During the fight, Mr. O’Sullivan shot his wife several times. She died from her injuries. 

Mr. O’Sullivan fled the scene before police arrived. His direction of travel is unknown at this time. Anyone with information on Mr. O’Sullivan’s whereabouts is asked to call the Concord Police Department at (704)-920-5000 or the Cabarrus County Crimestoppers at (704) 93-Crime. 

Rebekah Hart O’ Sullivan was a paramedic with Mecklenburg EMS Agency.
