CMPD searching for suspect in 3 armed robberies


CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say they are searching for a suspect in three different armed robberies. 

Just before 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, officers responded to a call for service in the 4800 block of Banfshire Rd. The victim in that case state that they had been robbed by a suspect and provided a description. 

About an hour later, officers were called to the 2400 block of Dunlavin Way for another robbery. In this case, the suspects attempted to rob the victims in the parking lot.  After speaking with the victims, police determined that the robbery happened around 6:00 a.m. 

While on scene, the officers were notified of another robbery from person in the 2400 block of Pinkney Avenue.  

The victims told officers that they were at the back of the house when armed suspects approached them demanding money. One of the suspects hit the victim with a gun, resulting in minor injuries. 

In all three cases, the suspect and suspect vehicle descriptions were the same. Police are now searching for the suspect.
