The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department is searching for a man they said committed six armed robberies since November 15.

The latest incident occurred on at 3:52 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4 at Carriage Cleaners on Colony Road, police said. The man robbed the business at gunpoint before fleeing the scene.

The crime spree has spanned from North Carolina to South Charlotte and hit a number of small businesses starting at China Fun restaurant just before 12 p.m. on November 15 in east Charlotte.

“It doesn’t even make much sense. Like, how much money could he have gotten?” said one Mallard Creek resident.

“At the height of the middle of the day and when these robberies took place with a lot of people around I’m kind of amazed,” said a Myers Park resident.

On November 17, the suspect made his way to north Charlotte to hit the Smoothie King on 3020 Prosperity Church Road. Three days later on November 20 he tried his luck again at the Dairy Queen next door.

The fifth incident took place at the Starbucks on 545 Providence Road on November 28.

Police said the suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, about 5’10” tall, muscular, and blad. Anyone with information concerning these cases is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
