CMPD looking for owners of trucks broken into during Charlotte riot

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the owner/operators of several trucks that were illegally broken into during the Charlotte riot that happened on Tuesday, September 20.

The trucks were on I-85 near the West WT Harris Boulevard Exit 24, when a large group blocked traffic on the roadway. 

One company had been identified and is in contact with CMPD.

One of the trucks may belong to “Performance Group Food.” One of the three vehicles was a large commercial box truck and may have been empty when entered.

Detectives are also asking for the public’s help in identifying any of the subjects in our photo gallery.
