CMPD arrests man accused of shooting 5-year-old girl inside car

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has arrested a man accused of shooting a 5-year-old girl inside a car near uptown Charlotte on Nov. 10. 

On Tuesday, Dec. 6, the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team located Patrick Glenn, 27, on Augusta Street and arrested him without incident. 

CMPD said Glenn was transported to police headquarters where he was interviewed by Homicide Detectives. At the end of the interview he was taken by Central Division Officers to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office where he remains in custody.

Glenn has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, four counts of assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm into occupied vehicle in operation causing serious injury, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
