Child struck by vehicle while riding bike in northwest Charlotte


CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said one child was transported to CMC Monday with potentially life threatening injuries after they were hit by a vehicle while riding their bike.

The accident happened at 5:59 p.m. Monday, October 24 at the intersection or Rozzelles Ferry Road and Dunn Commons Parkway. 

Upon arrival, officers determined the child’s injuries to be potentially life-threatening. Medic transported the child to CMC-Main. 

The vehicle that was involved remained on scene, CMPD said. 

No word if anyone will be charged in this case. CMPD is asking for drivers to avoid the area while officers investigate this collision.
