Chester County Sheriff’s deputy arrested on domestic violence charges


CHESTER COUNTY, SC (FOX 46 WJZY) — A Chester County Sheriff’s deputy has been fired after he was accused of domestic violence. 

Former Sgt. James Simpson Darby was arrested and charged with first degree domestic violence and two counts of unlawful neglect of a child in the early morning hours of Friday, March 2. 

Darby is being held in the Chester County Detention Center on a $35,000 bond. till in jail with a $35K bond. He was terminated from the Sheriff’s Office on Friday.
