Boy’s leg grazed by a bullet in Monroe shooting incident


MONROE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — Monroe Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1000 block of Concord Ave on Saturday evening.

Police say that they received a 911 call reporting 12 shots fired in the 1000 block of Concord Ave. around 9:46 pm. When officers arrived on scene they located an adult male and two juveniles.  One of the juveniles right leg was grazed by a bullet. He did not require medical attention. 

Twelve 9mm shell casings were located by police near the intersection of Concord Ave. & W. Phifer St.and were taken into evidence. Police also recovered a iHome speaker that fell out of the suspects pocket.

Police continue to investigate.
