Authorities need help tracking down NC woman last seen on March 10

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) — The Asheville Police Department is continuing to ask for the public’s help in locating a missing 36-year-old woman. Leigh Anna Stewart was last seen on March 10 in East Asheville before she disappeared. 

Stewart was last seen wearing a tan, long knit sweater, jeans, and black/pink Nike tennis shoes. She was carrying a small, rose gold pocketbook, police said.

Stewart is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Authorities believe Stewart may be heading toward Rutherfordton, North Carolina or Chesnee, South Carolina. 

“I’ll post this everyday till my friend is found. Shes been missing out of Asheville NC since March 10th. There are no updates on Leigh Anna Stewart. I’m asking everyone near and far, all surrounding areas of Asheville NC to please post and share,” Barbara Reineke wrote on Facebook about her missing friend. The post has since gone viral with more than 100,000 shares.
