60-year-old man struck, killed by vehicle in Rock Hill


ROCK HILL, SC (FOX 46) — A 60-year-old man died Friday night after he was struck by a vehicle, according to Rock Hill police. 

The incident happened at 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 30 on Dave Lyle Blvd. inbound at the Anderson Road interchange.

Rock Hill Police, Fire, and Piedmont EMS responded to the scene. 

Upon arrival, a man was found deceased after being struck by a pick-up truck while he was crossing the road. 

The Rock Hill Police Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and said they will be there for some time.  

The York County Coroner’s Office has been notified. There were no other injuries in this incident. 

Police said traffic is very congested in the area. They’re asking drivers to use caution or avoid it all together on Dave Lyle Blvd. inbound toward downtown. Anderson Road is flowing normally. 

This is an active investigation.
