A 5-year-old girl battling cancer was surprised by the Ranlo Police Department and Fire & Rescue Tuesday – and brought to her favorite place to eat.

Klaire Benge has inoperable cancer of the brain, doctors say.

Klarie’s parents noticed her face was kind of droopy recently, so they took her to the doctor where she was diagnosed with Bells Palsy. While there, they noticed something wasn’t right. Klaire was having bad headaches.

The family soon discovered Klaire had stage 3 cancer. They were told Klaire has only three to six months to live.

Klaire’s favorite things are Mcdonald’s, Taco Bell, Barbie, Hello Kitty and Elena of Avalon.

The Ranlo Police Department’s sergeant told FOX 46 Charlotte the family is struggling financially. They have to transport Klaire to chemo in Charlotte every morning.

Little Klaire is currently undergoing chemo for about one month. Authorities said they can’t do more because of her age. It’s the doctors hope that will help her live at least six more months.

The police department picked up Klaire, her sister, and her father Tuesday and took them to McDonald’s on Franklin Square in Gastonia.
