4 taken to hospital after CMS buses collide in east Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) — Officials with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools confirm two of their buses were involved in an accident Friday afternoon in east Charlotte.

The crash happened about 3:25 p.m. off of Eastway Drive and Shamrock Drive.

According to Medic, four people were taken to Carolinas Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

The buses were coming from Garinger High School, according to CMS officials.

It’s unclear what caused the accident.
