4 people charged in connection to weekend homicide


CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — Four people have been arrested in connection to a weekend homicide, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. 

Dequan Marquis Timmons, 21, Justen O’Neil Howard, 19, Tyshoine McAfee, 20, and Emmanuel Kalani Tucker, 20, have been charged in the for their involvement in the murder of Abraham Malik Wallace. 

On Sunday Nov. 12, officers responded to the 1500 block of Waddell St. just after 10:00 p.m. for reports of shots fired.

After looking around, officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound lying next to a parked car in the 1400 block of Waddell St. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police immediately began gathering evidence and investigating the scene. The information collected led detectives to believe that Timmons, Howard, McAfee and Tucker were suspects in the case and arrested warrants were obtained for the four individuals. 

Timmons has been charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and a fugitive warrant for an armed robbery in Chesterfield, SC. 

Howard and McAfee hve been charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy, and Tucker has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
