2 Lincolnton women charged with trafficking cocaine

Two Lincoln County women were arrested and charged with trafficking and possession of cocaine and marijuana, according to Lincoln County Investigators.

The Lincoln County Narcotics Unit was called to assist N.C. Probation and Parole agents for a probation violation warrant in the 1300 block of Highview Ln. in Lincolnton on Friday.

Upon search of the residence, detectives found over 39 grams of cocaine and over 4 ounces of marijuana. The drugs were seized and taken into evidence.

Authorities arrested Latrice Sharday Paulino, 22, with violation of probation and for trafficking cocaine and marijuana. She is at the Lincoln County Detention Center with an $85,000 bond.

A second woman, Kayla Myree Velazquez, was also charged with trafficking cocaine and marijuana. Her bond is $75,000.

Detectives say, depending on how the drugs are packaged and how much they’re sold for, the street value of the drugs seized is between $1,500 and $4,200.
