2 arrested in Northeast Charlotte shooting

CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — Two suspects were arrested for a northeast Charlotte shooting, according to CMPD. 

On Thursday afternoon, police responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at 516 W. Sugar Creek Rd. where two suspects shot at each other. 

The suspects have been identified as Keonte Perry, 25, and Corby Watkins, 44. Both have been arrested and charged in connection to the shooting. 

Perry is being held on a $500 bond for one misdemeanor count of discharging a firearm within city limits. Watkins is charged with two counts of discharging a firearm on occupied property and is being held on a $20,000 secured bond.
